Who Is Charles Sobhraj?
Charles Sobhraj is from Vietnam and he is a French serial killer. People call him using different names such as

- Bikini Killer
In the 1970s, he was staying in Southeast Asia to target and kill western tourists. Charles showed psychopathic character and thus, he murdered many people without any reason. He is popular for his intelligence and attractive personality.
Early in his days, he attracted huge fans before involving in criminal activities. The man speaks several languages fluently such as Hindi, Vietnamese, and French. Almost he is involved in all kinds of criminal activities such as

In 1976, his final case was a murder in India. Thus, he took to the Tihar Jail in New Delhi where he stayed 21 years. Then, in 1997, the court released him and he moved to France to lead a celebrity lifestyle.

Early Life:
Charles was born on April 6, 1944, in Saigon. It was the former French Indochina and now, it is the Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. He was born to Sobhraj Hatchard Bavani and Tran Loang Phun. His father was an Indian while his mother was a Vietnamese native.
His real name is Hatchand Bhaonani Gurumukh Charles Sobhraj. Charles’ parents are not married and his father left his family when Charles was a small child. As a result, his mother started her relationship with a French Lieutenant.
Charles’ parents neglected him as they are in favor of his half-siblings. As a result, he attempted to escape from his house twice. He started doing petty crimes when he was a small child. In 1963, he got his first jail sentence to serve in Poissy prison near Paris.
Personal Life:
As already said, he is smart and manipulative, and hence, he convinced his jail wardens to read the materials. Then, he came out of the prison after some days. Soon after coming out of jail, he met a French girl, Chantal Compagnon. He started a romantic relationship with her.
The couple married after the release of Charles. After marriage, the couple started doing criminal activities. Initially, Chantal was a part of his crime, but later she decided to quit her criminal activities. Thus, she even broke up with him and moved to France.
In Kashmir, India, Charles met Marie-Andree Leclerc and he dated her till the 1970s. She was also a part of his criminal activities. Charles had a relationship with many women in his life. He flirted with many women and sent his marriage proposals to many women.
In 2008, he announced his engagement with Nihita Biswas. She was the daughter of Charles’ lawyer. On October 9, 2008, he married Nihita Biswas in the jail itself.
