According to a report published by Entertainment Tonight on the 9th of December 2022, Warner Bros has decided against moving forward with the film. However, this report arrived for the first time in a report by The Hollywood Reporter. This report talked about the future plans of Peter Safran and James Gunn, about Dc Studios and Warner Bros. 

However, Gunn took to Twitter to react to the report and stated that it contained some true information, while some others were false and even half-truths. He also talked about the future of the DC characters. He urged the fans and audience to have patience and to wait. He claimed that they are dedicated to providing proper attention and time to each of these characters. Moreover, he also claimed that there are a lot of things on which they have not yet made any decision.

Pictures Group claimed that the success of Wonder Woman: 1984 has inspired them to renew the film for a third movie, thereby concluding the much-discussed trilogy. In fact, the team was also ready, with Jenkins and Gadot set to return in their respective roles as the director and the titular figure. Therefore, all these led DC fans to search for  Wonder Woman 3 release date on the internet. However, that seems a futile effort as the future appears dark for the film.
