PMJDY is a abbreviation form of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. This yojna was launched in 2014 to enforce the people to open bank account. Many of the villagers have no bank accounts so they have no primary facilities of insurance, loan, net banking service and so much more. This scheme is open for all to encourage them to open bank account with zero balance. They are also liable for insurance benefits, loan benefits with minimal premium rates and low EMI. This scheme was launched on August and in just one month around 4 crore bank account opened in September 2014. Once the account is open the account holder has to keep minimum required balance to continue the banking service.
It’s a short form of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. PMJJBY is a beneficial insurance scheme offers risk cover and life insurance cover after death. The person should have a bank account in government bank. He/she is liable to get this life insurace scheme of minimal premium of 330 rs per year. LIC has a tie-up with all government banks but the eligibility criterias should match to gain the benefit of this scheme. Family meber will be drawn the sum of 200000 on the sad demise or accidental death of person.
