Abacus is gaining much popularity these days. Almost a decade ago, it has started getting much popular among people. This class is specifically for students of age groups around 4 to 14 years old.

The main aim of this technique is to learn arithmetic calculations faster. Students learn this course by moving the beads present in the abacus. They are using both hands to move the beads faster. After getting a lot of practice, they need to do mental calculations without an abacus. Thus, for doing such mental calculations, one needs a lot of practice.

## Kumon:

Kumon is not any technique or device to learn mathematics but it is just a brand name or a center to learn mathematics. Here they are not teaching only the fastest ways for calculation but also promoting critical thinking. Based on the knowledge and approach of children, this course will help them to develop a lot.

## Vedic Mathematics:

Coming to the Vedic mathematics, it has become popular after the Olympiads. Here, you will get smart tricks to compute arithmetic problems. There are even shortest ways available to learn complex problems. But you need a lot of practice and memory to crack the problems. It involves vast content and thus, you need to remember many things in it. For each calculation, there are separate tricks available.

• Learning any of the above techniques will create complications if they differ from the school mathematics class.
• All the above methods Kumon vs. Abacus vs. Vedic mathematics are best in their perspective and each one provides you good arithmetic knowledge.
• If your children get access to any of these options, then you can choose it based on your child’s skills.
• The first step is to allow your child to take a trial class. If your child finds it comfortable to go ahead with the technique, you can allow your child to learn it. But never force your child to learn any of these methods.
• What involves in solving the arithmetic problem? The first thing is to understand the given question and then, finding the right method to solve it. The last step is calculating the result. Aptitude has many ways to compute it. Some of them include logical, analytical, critical, quantitative, etc.
• To learn any of the above methods, your child requires some time and effort. Sometimes, your child may need to do several assignments in different subjects. In such a situation, your child may not have enough time to learn the above techniques. Thus, never pressurize your child to learn the above methods. It is like keeping them too busy with education always, so better to avoid extra coaching classes.
