In this digital world, many of you choose to store the data on computers, be it a Windows PC or a Mac. However, while it’s easier to store the information, users have found that it takes quite a lot of efforts to get deleted or lost files back. To help users recover their data, many companies have introduced data recovery software. Some of them are paid software while others are free of cost. How I use iBoysoft data recovery software
I have tested how the product of iBoysoft recovers accidentally deleted files from my SD card. If you happen to be troubled by the same data loss from the SD card, perhaps the following general steps will do you a favor.
Step 1: Insert your SD card on a card reader and connect the card reader with the computer.
Step 2: Go to the product page. Download iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac on your computer. When it finishes downloading and installing, double-click the icon to launch it.
Step 3: All the detected disks should be listed. Select the SD card (you should know the name of it) where you deleted photos.
Step 4: Click Scan to scan for the deleted data on it. Wait till the scanning results are shown.
If you can’t find all the deleted photos, then click Deep scan on the lower right corner for more comprehensive scanning. Also, wait for the scanning results.
Step 5: Click Path/Time/Type on the left sidebar to locate your files more easily. To make sure it’s the file you want to recover, you are offered the Preview function. The software will invoke Preview software to help you fully preview the picture.
Step 6: Tick the box in front of the files. Then click Recover to retrieve all of them.
Remember not to save the retrieved photos on the previous SD card. And we suggest you save them on your Mac or on another external storage device.
Note: always remember to check if you can find all deleted files on the disk or folder you save them before leaving the results page. If it doesn’t successfully recover all files and you already leave the result page, you’ll have to scan your memory card again and it costs time.
Pros and cons of iBoysoft Data Recovery Software
Every product has its highlights as well as the downsides and this one is no exception. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of iBoysoft Data Recovery Software.
Whether you notice it or not, any Mac model introduced after 2018 is implemented with a chip named Apple T2 security chip. iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac is the only available data recovery software that can restore your files from T2-secured Macs.
If you have tried other data recovery programs, sometimes you may be requested to disable SIP, known as System Integrity Protection. However, turning SIP off can place your computer in unknown danger. The software of iBoysoft won’t ask you to do so.
Unable to even boot up your Mac? No matter what scenario you are encountering, for example, the computer is showing a complete black or white screen, or the Mac is stuck with the login screen, the software is capable of recovering your data from an unbootable Mac.
It offers the option to save and load sessions. If you have to abandon the scanning process or quit the program while scanning, the software provides you with the function to save the scanned results. By using Save Sessions, you can save the scanning results for later recovery. Really convenient and user-friendly, right?
This software is fully versatile and compatible. The free version can work fine with most of the file systems, including HFSX, HFS, HFS+, exFAT and FAT32. Also, it’s compatible with multiple storage devices, the SD card, external HDD, USB disk drive, and so on.
You don’t need wo worry about the Mac OS as well since iBoysoft data recovery software support multiple operating systems, ranging from macOS 10.15 to 10.7. And the R&D team is working on an update with macOS 11, before long, the new version will come to the stage.
The free edition can only recover up to 1GB data. If you have more files to restore, a professional edition would be a better choice.
For files that are APFS-formatted or APFS-encrypted-formatted, the free edition does not support file recovery. If you have files with these two formats, again, the professional edition can solve your problem.
There’s no live chat room yet, though you can contact iBoysoft team via email.
Though the free edition of iBoysoft Data Recovery for Mac is not able to recover data larger than 1GB with APFS or APFS-encrypted file systems, overall, it’s an excellent data recovery software. It’s easy to operate, highly compatible, and harmless to your computer security. More crucially, it’s the only software that can take charge of data recovery on T2-equipped Mac.
