After almost a year and a half after the covid shut down, the delta variant is still pushing up the numbers. The rise in cases could slow the improving economic condition of the nation. However, some people are yet to receive any help at all.
With unemployment still at the top of everyone’s list, and the federal unemployment bonus ending on Labour day, there is much that the white needs to ensure. Millions of people remain short on necessary items such as food and money. With that being said, the fourth stimulus check could help those struggling to make ends meet.

Support For The Fourth Stimulus Check:
A group of Democratic senators has sent a letter to the President at the end of March. The letter addressed the issues of payment of the fourth stimulus. Moreover, the letter stated “recurring direct payments and automatic unemployment insurance extensions tied to economic conditions.”
The senators in the letter provided a reason saying, “this crisis is far from over, and families deserve certainty that they can put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. Families should not be at the mercy of constantly shifting legislative timelines and ad hoc solutions.”
Even the representative of the president and vice-president, Ilhan Omar showed a similar position. Here is what they proposed, “Recurring direct payments until the economy recovers will help ensure that people can meet their basic needs, provide racially equitable solutions, and shorten the length of the recession.”
Child Tax Credit Payment
It is another federal stimulus on which the federal government has already spent over billions of dollars. As part of a response, this is the only stimulus that has rolled out successfully. Moreover, the effort to provide for the children is still ongoing. Currently, the authority will send a new child tax credit payment. It will be the third in a six-check series of monthly payments.
So what made this bill possible? The sources have said that the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill from March not only funded the new round of $1,400 stimulus checks but this check as well. Furthermore, this six-check series started in July. Moreover, it will continue through December. Although it will be a bit different from $1,400 checks.
Eligibility, And Details Regarding The Check
- Each child a parent has under the age of six will get $300 each month till December.
- However, the children who are from ages 6 to 17, will get a monthly check of $250.
- Not only the age, but one has to know about the income threshold as well. The families should have an adjusted gross income of less than $75,000 in 2019 or 2020. It is for single parents.
- The same will go for the married couples as well. However, they have to make no more than $150,000.
Moreover, the expanded credit will give out $95,000 or more. It also phases out for couples who make $170,000 or more. Although they are still eligible for the normal child tax credit.
