Soaking Up the Sun

A nice even tan looks great in the summer.  It can make you look fit and healthy, and it sets off those summer outfits perfectly.  Getting a tan is time-consuming though and it can be quite boring if you do not plan your time carefully.  Here are 7 things to do while soaking up the sun.

Reapply Sunscreen

A tan looks wonderful but red peeling skin does not.  Remember to top up your sunscreen every couple of hours to avoid burning.  If you are cooling down by jumping in the pool or sea more frequently than this, then your sunscreen can get washed off, so make sure you reapply it every time you get back on dry land.

Online Gaming

Thanks to Smartphones, you can play games while you lie in the sun.  An online casino NZ will give you lots of options if you think lady luck is on your side. There are many fun games that you could play online, so download a few apps to keep you busy while you’re busy doing nothing.

Work

If you are working from home, it doesn’t mean that you have to be cooped up in your home office or at your kitchen table.  Take your laptop and phone outside with you and your boss will never know that you have been topping up your tan whilst being paid for it.  You may want to be careful what your background looks like for those videoconferences though.

Read

Catch up on some light reading while soaking up the sun. There may be books that you have been meaning to read for a while or perhaps you are looking for something new.  Either way, the time will pass quickly if you get stuck into a good book and you will have a lovely tan before you know it.

Plan Ahead

Soaking up the sun can give you some good uninterrupted thinking time.  Whether you are deciding what to wear for that party on Saturday night or getting strategic with your five-year plan, the chance to think things through and decide how to turn your plans into actions is always useful.  You can get your life sorted while getting the perfect tan to go with it.

Sleep

The sun can make you feel very tired and if you have had a hard week at work or a late night the night before, falling asleep in the sun can be very tempting.  Slap on the sunscreen and catch up on some much-needed sleep.  Don’t forget to turn over occasionally though or your tan won’t be even.

Stay Hydrated

Don’t forget to drink plenty in the sun.  The heat will make you feel a lot thirstier, and you could dehydrate if you are not careful.  Take a pitcher of iced water to your sun lounger to help you stay cool and hydrated.

Follow these tips to keep you busy when the sun is out, and you want to make the most of it.
