We already know that the National Weather Service in Sullivan stated that if the clouds are friendly, then the residents of Wisconsin would be able to see the northern lights on the last Sunday evening. The report claimed that the aurora borealis or the northern lights will be visible from more than half of the country. Taylor Patterson, the meteorologist for the NWS in Sullivan, predicted that the clouds would start breaking in the early evening on Sunday and that the people in Wisconsin will be able to watch the northern light right from sunset. 

She stated that under favourable weather conditions, people from the state would be able to see the natural wonder with the naked eye. However, she recommended the use of long-exposure cameras or night-mode features on smartphones to capture the wonderful interplay of the lights.

All the predictions came true as the sun set under the horizon in Wisconsin. People, following the predictions, were ready with their gadgets to catch the celestial lights in action. As teh evening progressed, most of the northeastern part of Wisconsin stood witness to one of the rare sightings on this planet. Social media started to get flooded with images of the Northern Lights. 

The areas between Port Washington and Belgium, Grafton and Sheboygan County, along with Madison reported major sightings. Though the sightings were not that prominent, yet they were enough to get noticed. In fact, you can find a lot of images and videos of the northern lights from Wisconsin on social media. Some of these videos and images also went viral and acquired numerous views.
