Vijaykumari’s Marriage To Sadhguru Jaggu Vasudev

However, we do know that she met her ex-husband Jaggi Vasudev in Mysore, and soon after that meeting, they exchanged marital vows in 1984. Moreover, in 1990, she gave birth to her only child, a daughter, whose name is Radhe Jaggi.
According to the facts, when she was alive, she worked in finance. Sadly, she left this mortal world on 23rd January 1997. The rumors claim that she passed on from Mahasamadhi practice. It is an act of the atman leaving the mortal body consciously.
Some Details Of Her Death
According to the Yogic scriptures, a yogi or a Yogini, who has attained the state of Nirrikalpa Samadhi in Yoga will at a time consciously exit from the body. It is the same case with Vijaykumari as well.
It’s not the first time that we have heard about this incident. Many times in history, we have seen that a lot of eminent yogis left their mortal bodies behind. In the oriental culture, lots of Hindu, Tibetan, and Zen masters attained such a graceful exit from their bodies.
So, the details of Vijaykumari’s death tell us that her ‘death’ occurred in a program conducted at her ex-husband’s foundation, Isha Yoga Center, in Coimbatore. Over a hundred people saw the act and it was bewildering.
However, not everyone took this lightly as Viji’s father made a police complaint due to the suspicious nature of the death. In other words, he quoted that someone murdered her and it was a planned one.
Furthermore, the police and even Sadhguru didn’t even grant him permission to see his daughter’s corpse for one last time. He immediately cremated her body after the incident as well instead of burying it. According to the rules, the body of someone who has attained Mahasamadhi shouldn’t be cremated but buried. However, the very act of cremating her body raised lots of suspicions.
Lack Of Evidence Around Her Death
As we mentioned earlier, the police in 1997 lodged a case file against Sadhguru, accusing him of murdering his ex-wife Vijaykumari. However, due to a lack of evidence, the case didn’t hold. The investigation was a futile one indeed.
