He was born on May 2, 1972, at Hayward, California, United States. His father is Johnson, and his mother is Ata Johnson, and both of them are wrestlers. Wrestling is from his hereditary that even his grandfather and grandmother are also wrestlers, and because of that, he also entered the WWE. 

Coming to his education, he was studying at Richmond Road primary school; later, he joined President William McKinley High School. Finally, he finished his higher education at Freedom High School. Dwayne Johnson married Lauren Hashian after he divorced his ex-wife Dany Garcia. With Dany Garcia, Johnson had one daughter named Simone, and she was born on August 14, 2001. With Hashian, Johnson has two daughters Jasmine and Tiana Gia. Johnson divorced Dany in 2001, and he met Hashian in 2006 and started dating in 2007. Finally, Johnson tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend on August 18, 2019.
