The movie had a huge commercial impact, grossing more than 63 crore rupees against a 19 million rupee budget. Due to its content, it faced restrictions in Pakistan. After Sunny Leone starred as the lead in the 2014 movie “Ragini MMS 2,” her fame inside the Indian film industry grew. The movie was a huge hit and got mixed reviews.

She made her Bollywood debut in the movie, which was directed by Pooja Bhatt. The movie also starred Randeep Hooda, Arunoday Singh, and Arif Zakaria, with Leone playing the lead role.
