Bryan Kohberger: The Prime Suspect In The Idaho Murders Is Back in Idaho

Bryan Kohberger is now a known name to the netizens and to those who are interested in global news. Though the cause which made him known globally is a heinous one, many people still might not recognize him. Therefore, let me inform you that he is the prime suspect behind the infamous Idaho murders. Yes! You have heard that right. There are charges of murdering four students of the University of Idaho against him. So, now you know how serious the allegations are against him. Though his attorney is fighting hard to prove the case otherwise,  Richie Skiles, the  Latah County Sheriff stated that the suspect has returned to Idaho to face the charges against him.

Richie expressed his gratitude to the Idaho State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police for being helpful towards them. On this Tuesday, Bryan appeared in court in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. There were charges of burglary and first-degree murder against him. At the court, he agreed regarding his extradition to Idaho. Though his attorney, Monroe County Chief Public Defender Jason LaBar claimed that Bryan is eager to see the charges off his shoulders, it seems that the thing would be far from a cakewalk. The infamous Idaho murders occurred on the morning of November 13, 2022. The place of the incident was a rented off-campus home in Idaho. At that house, many students of the University of Idaho used to stay. The murders took place between 3 and 4 AM in the morning. The names of the victims are Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves and Ethan Chapin. Three of the victims were females and the fourth one, Ethan was boyfriend of Xana. The three girls were staying at the house and Ethan was sleeping over with her girlfriend at the house. The murderer stabbed all of them to death brutally. However, the police get a call at around 11:58 AM and the victims are all dead by 12 noon.

The investigations started under the joint initiative of the Idaho State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police, under the Moscow Police Department. After going through hundreds of tips from the public, the police noticed one Hyundai Elantra near the house at the time of the murder. They also traced one DNA sample from the place of murder that belonged to none of the victims. Tracing the ownership of the Elantra and the DNA sample, the Pennsylvania State Police and an FBI SWAT team arrested Bryan on December 30 from his parents’ place in Chestnuthill Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. 

Bryan was a PhD scholar at the department of criminal justice and criminology of Washington State University. However, the police did not reveal the probable cause affidavit as it was not the right time for the same.

The case is under process. Therefore, as per a nondissemination order, the officials and police personnel are with the case to communicate any details about the case till the closure of the same. As of now, the police department has stated that there is strong evidence against Bryan and his arrival to Idaho is really significant at this point in time.
